Today from eight o’clock to half past nine we did games to get to know each other. It was fun and everybody participated. I mean by this that everyone did his best to have a nice time.

After the games, we went to the chemistry room and as a group we experimented to create renewable energy. At the beginning we wanted to use an umbrella but there wasn’t enough time. For this reason, we used a battery.

In the afternoon until 8 :00 p.m. we cooked and ate together so all the exchange students were together.

This morning, we had an arts workshop. We were divided into two groups. There were various used things on the ground, and we had to take some of these things and make something new out of them.

I created a statue using an old Barbie doll. There was a girl who took a picture with beer mugs. We could also eat bananas or chocolate bars.

Then we took the train to Bamberg and stayed at a bike garage led by volunteers. We were then split into groups again. We learned how to find a hole in a tire, how to repare it, how to take a tire apart, how to remove it from the bike and how to pump up a tire. We also had a break and had drinks and something to eat. Afterwards, we headed back to Coburg.

This morning, we talked about the changes that should be made in Luxembourg for a more sustainable lifestyle. We discussed how, in everyday life, people could reduce waste by using reusable bags, bottles, and containers, and by buying more local and seasonal products. In terms of transport, we agreed that more people should use public transport, bicycles, or car-sharing instead of individual cars to reduce pollution and traffic.

We also talked about energy supply and the importance of switching to renewable sources such as wind and solar power.

Then, we created a kind of diary with stamps to explain our Erasmus week. After that, we went out together to watch a movie at the cinema and we also had coffee together.
